Chelsea is layered: the converted warehouse lofts west of Tenth Avenue, the boutique high-rises along the High Line, the prewar brownstones on the leafy side streets between Eighth and Sixth, and the long blocks of postwar rental buildings that run up to Penn Station. It's a neighborhood with a creative-class density unusual even by Manhattan standards — gallerists in the West 20s, fashion and PR offices on the Eighth Avenue side, designers and writers working from home in lofts that used to be print shops. The neighborhood's relationship with laundry is shaped by the buildings. Converted lofts often have in-unit hookups but rarely have efficient washers — they were retrofitted into spaces that weren't designed for them, and most loft residents end up using us anyway because the math (electricity, time, building noise rules) doesn't work in their favor. The newer Avalon-style high-rises along Sixth and Tenth have building laundry rooms, but our pickup density there is high too: residents pay roughly the same per-load and get the time back.

We cover the full Chelsea zone from West 14th up to West 30th, river to Sixth Avenue, with daily van routes. Pickups concentrate in two windows — early morning before the gallery district opens and late afternoon as people get home from the office. Doormen, intercoms, and Latch buildings are all common here; we work with all three. Bags left in front-desk package rooms are perfectly normal; so are residents who want a personal handoff at the door.
