    Who we are

Crisp Laundry is a wash & fold and dry cleaning service operating in Manhattan, with our principal office at 136 East 31st Street, New York, NY 10016. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect about you, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at help@crisplaundry.com or call (917) 733-1504.

    What we collect

We collect three kinds of information:

    • Information you give us directly: your name, phone number, email address, pickup and delivery address, order details and preferences, payment information, and any messages you send us.
    • Information collected automatically: the pages you visit on our site, the device and browser you use, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring website that brought you to us.
    • Information from third parties: public reviews you've left for us on platforms like Google or Yelp.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

    How we use the information

We use what we collect to:

    • Schedule and fulfill your laundry orders.
    • Process payments.
    • Communicate with you about your orders (pickup confirmations, driver updates, ready-for-delivery notifications).
    • Send you marketing messages, but only if you've opted in.
    • Improve our website, app, and services.
    • Comply with legal and tax obligations.
    • Prevent fraud and protect the security of our customers and business.

Service providers we share information with

We share information only with the vendors that help us run Crisp. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

    • Cents: our point-of-sale, payments, and marketing automation platform. Cents stores all customer account and order data.
    • Supabase: backend infrastructure that powers our reviews carousel and edge functions.
    • Google: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Business Profile for analytics and review management.
    • Contentful: the CMS that powers our blog.
    • Lovable: hosting for crisplaundry.com.
    • Email and SMS gateways via Cents: for delivering transactional and marketing messages.

    Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses a small number of cookies. Some are strictly necessary to make the site work. We also use Google Analytics 4 cookies to understand how people use the site, and — where applicable — marketing or retargeting cookies so we can reach past visitors with relevant ads. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but some features may be less convenient.

    Marketing communications

We only send marketing emails or texts if you've opted in. You can opt out any time: reply STOP to a text message, click "unsubscribe" in any email, or contact help@crisplaundry.com. Even if you opt out of marketing, we'll still send transactional messages (pickup confirmations, driver updates, etc.) while you have an active order with us.

    Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to records we're legally required to keep (for example, tax records). We aim to respond to requests within 30 days.

As a New York business, we follow the protections set out in the New York SHIELD Act, including reasonable safeguards for personal information and breach notifications when required by law.

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale or sharing of your data for behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep your information

    • Order and payment records: 7 years, to comply with tax requirements.
    • Marketing preferences: kept until you opt out.
    • Google Analytics 4 data: kept for the GA4 default retention period.
    • Public reviews: kept until you remove them from the original platform.

    Security

We protect your information with HTTPS in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls that limit who on our team can see what. No system is perfect, but if we ever experience a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you as required by law.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll let active customers know by email.
